Chiropractors approach patient care in a manner similar to that used in conventional medicine. They interview the patient, obtain a detailed health history, perform an examination, do tests, and develop a working diagnosis. They then develop a management plan, start treatment, and monitor the patient’s progress. Chiropractors often treat problems related to the musculoskeletal system.

The manual treatment methods used by chiropractors range from stretching and sustained pressure to specific joint manipulations, which are usually delivered by hand and involve a quick and gentle thrust. The purpose of the manipulations is to improve joint motion and function. Manipulations are most commonly done on the spine, but other parts of the body may also be treated in this way.

Dr. Angelique Miller, DC was born and raised here in Lafayette where she attended Comeaux High School. She then attended UL for a short time before attending Chiropractic school in Houston at Texas Chiropractic College, where she graduated in Spring 2017.

She is not your typical Chiropractor; what sets her apart is the time she takes with her patients, the thorough care, and the individualized healthcare of each one of her patients.

When you come for your initial visit, Dr. Miller will explain how active, non-invasive care of the whole body can help to achieve an efficient performance. Her passion is quite simple: to give people their lives back— whether that means in great proportions or even just the small details of everyday life.

Outside of the office, Dr. Miller is active in the community and tries to give back as much as she can. She is an advocate for Brain Injury survivors and their families. She works with a local organization, “AMAZE Brain Injury Group” to spread awareness about brain injuries of all types and educate those affected by brain injuries on the avenues of care that are available to them outside of the traditional medical model.

She also acts as a team physician for the Louisiana Drillers Hockey, CMP Prep Academy Drillers Football, and Louisiana Krewe Futbol Club based in Lafayette. Helping the players play their best, prolong their careers, and get back in the game faster is what drives her every season!
